-Develop, align and implement KPIs for COS activities; Assist with driving closure on corrective actions that improve key COS metrics and overall performance
-Successfully drive COS improvements and work with global partners to identify and implement best of breed practices
-Identify, evaluate and report on supplier performance to executive team on monthly basis
-Metrics, Reporting, REI, Aging, OOL, Staff Functions
-Responsible for implementing Dell COS initiatives within ODM / Dell manufacturing and Fulfillment locations
-With advanced knowledge of their commodity area as well as financial and business analysis and leadership capabilities, develops and fosters cooperative relationships to focus on the most complex materials, components and services while considering forecasted trends and developing effective courses of action
-Interacts with other internal groups while managing cost of purchased materials against current standard cost and actively leading or participating in events focused on increasing the amount of product on pull within the supply base
-Qualifies and approves vendors to optimize supply
-Responsible for placing purchase orders for the most complex materials, goods or services and driving key initiatives with suppliers
-Reviews necessary invoices with accounts payable and proactively ensures the supply base is managing material levels while driving behavior change in suppliers to meet expectations
-Manages internal requirements, specifications, quality, delivery, cost, and risk while overseeing the most effective return process and cost for defective material
-Regularly guides, directs and leads less experienced members of the team
-12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years with a Master’s degree
-Advanced ability to track supply and availability of components, materials and or services
-Advanced ability to work effectively with senior management/executive
-Advanced communication/presentation/organizational/interpersonal skills
-Advanced analytical capabilities
-Possesses operational command of the business
-Understanding of purchasing, big data, data analytics
