This position is responsible for the governance and oversight related to all facets of Entergy's Project Implementation for Segment 1 & 2 Projects and the use of Entergy’s Maintenance and Modifications Contractor (MMC). This includes ownership of any applicable procedures and processes.
Obtain a sustained partnership/sponsorship with Alliance and Entergy Nuclear Management at the sites and corporate offices as appropriate. These duties includes: involve the Alliance Partner in process improvement and initiative definition, engage with the Alliance Partner and Entergy Line Management as needed, to get Alliance feedback for these process improvements and initiatives. Establish single point management ownership and accountability at all levels of the Alliance and Entergy Nuclear organizations, attend meetings and conference calls as needed to ensure Alliance and Entergy Nuclear Line and Project Managers finalize process improvements and initiatives, support the Entergy Nuclear Line Managers or Project Managers to execute and manage the process improvements and initiatives in collaboration with the Alliance partner/sites/other departments, provide Governance and Oversight to track process improvement and initiatives progress through completion, conduct post completion lessons learned review after completion of each process improvement and initiative as appropriate.
Provide governance and oversight of Entergy Nuclear sites Project Implementation for Segment 1 & 2 Projects in accordance with the procedures and processes established by Entergy Corporate through site visits, outage assessments, and project readiness evaluations.
Evaluate actual performance thru assessment and onsite evaluations. Where fleet standards, process improvements or initiatives are not being implemented at the highest level, work with the appropriate leadership (Alliance Partner/Entergy) to gain resolution.
Establish and maintain, within the bounds of the Alliance Agreements, a collaborative working relationship between Entergy Nuclear and the Alliance partner.
Work closely with procurement to continuously review ways to improve contract and incentive language in a way that improves the overall relationship and results delivered by the Alliance partner.
Conduct lessons learned and / or pre-post outage challenge review meetings and conduct (as required) frequent phone calls with the Alliance Project Manager on the status of all Entergy Nuclear Deliverables.
Conduct lessons learned and/or pre –post project challenge review meetings and conduct (as required) frequent phone calls with the Superintendent, Site Projects and Superintendent, Maintenance Services on the status of all Entergy Nuclear Deliverables.
Perform CFAM related activities as required by Corporate Recovery Plans, Nuclear Sustainability Plan, and Site Recovery Plans.
Report to the Senior Manager, Projects and Maintenance Services for all activities.
Travel requirements: 40 – 60%
Minimum education required of the position
B.S. degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline or Equivalent Experience. (Equivalent Experience is defined as demonstrated success at the Superintendent level. A degree is strongly preferred.)
Minimum experience required of the position
10 years experience in nuclear power maintenance, project management, operations, radiation protection, PS&O, or engineering. 5 years in a responsible supervisory position in an operating nuclear power plant environment.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
SRO license or certification on BWR or PWR (desired). PMP Certification (desired)
