Responsible for facilitating alignment and providing governance over all aspects of operator initial training, including the operations examination process.
Assists in providing governance over the accredited and non-accredited portions of the operator initial training programs.
Assists in providing governance over other broad-based fleet training initiatives related to operations training.
Drives standardization of fleet-wide operations training programs to achieve common qualifications, common training materials, and common training program structures.
Represents Ops Training leadership at meetings with industry, regulators, INPO, etc. to discuss and resolve matters effecting Nuclear Training and the accreditation process.
Reviews and evaluates performance of site training departments as related to execution of operator initial training programs, including simulator training, NRC exam development, and ASER development.
Interfaces with regulatory and industry representatives on issues related to fleet training. Oversees the development of training lessons and materials for fleet wide courses.
Minimum education required of the position
Minimum experience required of the position
8 years experience in nuclear training, maintenance, operations, radiation protection, chemistry or PS&O. 3 years experience in nuclear operator training.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
In depth understanding of the systematic approach to training and how it is executed at Entergy Nuclear. Excellent project management skills. Outstanding communication, conflict management, and change management skills.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
SRO license or certification on a PWR or BWR.
