FUNCTION:

Provides installation support, training and troubleshooting to customers and internal departments on various Treasury Management & Merchant products and services to ensure their successful use of our Treasury products.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Train internal and external customers, via phone and in-person, on Treasury Management services/products, including information reporting and transaction initiation to ensure their successful product usage.

Provide daily post-installation/training technical support and troubleshooting assistance to external customers, typically via phone.  Support provided includes, but is not limited to, follow-up training, web browser troubleshooting, operating system interaction with Bank applications, hardware troubleshooting and troubleshooting Bank application-specific issues to resolve identified issues and problems.

Provide analytical and technical support, inclusive of web browser troubleshooting, operating system interaction with Bank applications, hardware troubleshooting and troubleshooting Bank application-specific issues, to internal departments such as Commercial Customer Service, Treasury Management Product Management and Treasury Management Sales. 

Complete various reports to provide a record of activity related to productivity and customer support.

Participate in Treasury Management projects and initiatives, such as updates to existing products and new product implementations, as appropriate.

Complete system testing of Treasury Management product updates or implementations to ensure smooth functioning of the products for customers.

Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

Complete other related duties as assigned.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

The Commercial Technical Support Department is dedicated to providing reliable and effective technical customer setup, support and training for a variety of Commercial Cash Management Products, including Lockbox, Media Delivery, Remote Check Deposit, Remote Deposit Capture, ACH Monitor and Commercial Card.  The team works directly with external and internal Corporate Treasury Management clients to complete in-depth product training and technical troubleshooting for Balance Reporting/Transaction initiation products.  Successful product usage by our clients, in part supported by this position, can contribute to retention and expansion of their relationship with the Bank.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years’ proven internal and/or external customer service experience, inclusive of providing product support and training OR in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years’ higher education and/or work experience including a minimum of 2 years’ proven internal and/or external customer service experience, inclusive of providing product support and training.  

Proficiency with personal computers as well as working knowledge of operating systems and web browsers. 

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments. 

Able to travel to client locations on short notice.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

Strong customer service skills, with ability to interact with customers and client personnel in various organizational positions.
